Job summary

J&T Business Consulting seeks a Database Engineer Level 3 in Annapolis, MD, for high-level database design and implementation. The role includes architecting relational/object-oriented databases, building parser and data loading software, and mapping long-range admin requirements.

Responsibilities cover lifecycle engineering from requirements through IOC, with emphasis on performance, security, and scalable data solutions using Oracle technologies and Linux scripting.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• At least 10 years of Database Engineer experience on similar programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; five extra years of DBE experience may substitute for the degree.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle DB, OEM, and Data Guard.
• Proficient in Linux OS environments and Bash scripting.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of database structures, schemas, parser tools, and loading software.
• Manage requirements from inception through testing and IOC; advise on system optimization.
• Translate complex requirements into functional database schemas and automate queries, scripts, and macros.
• Build modern cloud-based storage/retrieval solutions and ensure integration with enterprise architecture.
• Evaluate trade-offs involving scale, security, performance, distribution, and access controls.
