Job summary

Lodi Unified School District is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to design and develop districtwide databases and support systems, ensuring robust security and reliable data management. You may lead projects, provide training, and guide staff in planning, developing and implementing major database initiatives.

The role requires deep SQL and MS SQL Server expertise, and experience in enterprise data environments. Knowledge of BI tools, data analysis, and a K-12 setting is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, programming, MIS or related field.
• Five years of increasing programming/analysis experience including three years database management of 100+ databases.
• Experience performing the duties of a Database Engineer II; K-12 experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects related to central system installations and vendor coordination.
• Coordinate resolution of synchronization issues between databases and systems.
• Perform database capacity management and resource optimization.
• Define security permissions, standards, policies and guidelines.
• Create access systems with tables, indexes, views, stored procedures and triggers.
• Research and correct complex database integrity problems.
