Qualifications

• 7+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience required.
• Performance Tuning and Optimization using native monitoring tools.
• Backups, restores and recovery models knowledge.
• Expert level T-SQL tuning.
• Experience developing and maintaining SSIS packages.
• Experience migrating sanitized data from production to non-production environments.
• Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery options for SQL Server.
• Experience with Windows Server including Windows Clustering.
• Strong understanding of AlwaysOn Availability Groups and SQL Server replication.
• Cloud platform knowledge (Azure/AWS) with VM and DBaaS.

Responsibilities

• Manage SQL Server databases across development to production environments.
• Configure and maintain database servers for performance, availability, and security.
• Apply data modeling techniques to support integration and performance.
• Assist design and implementation of a data loading tool for production to non-production data moves.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time end-to-end.
• Automate regular processes, document changes, and track issues.
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 production support.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and post-deployment support.
• Share domain knowledge and mentor peers.
• Monitor SQL Server Service Packs and updates.
