Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 8 years of experience in database architecture or related fields.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Proven enterprise-scale database architecture experience supporting 10,000+ users.
• Leadership of complex database architecture projects across distributed environments.
• Expert proficiency with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of enterprise database strategies and governance across 350+ facilities.
• Design large-scale relational databases for 40,000+ users worldwide; develop data models and indexing.
• Design server and storage infrastructure using SD storage, all-flash arrays, and cloud storage.
• Develop enterprise backup services including off-site and distributed repositories with auditing.
• Integrate new databases with existing infrastructure for interoperability and performance.
• Lead DNS and infrastructure governance to conform to DOS standards.
• Create database architecture docs: ER diagrams, data flows, ADRs, specifications.
• Conduct performance, capacity planning, and architecture reviews.
• Mentor database teams and drive innovation in database technologies.
