Job summary

Computer World Services Corp. seeks a Senior Database and Application Support Engineer to ensure database availability and application operations for the USMEPCOM ENLIST program.

You will diagnose outages, certificate issues, and API problems across databases, servers, and cloud components, coordinating with IT operations and software teams for rapid recovery. Responsibilities include outage response, incident timelines, post-incident RCA, and validation of recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Eight years of relevant database support, application support, systems engineering, production operations, or enterprise IT experience.
• Experience diagnosing database availability, application dependencies, service outages, certificates, and API-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor availability, performance, health, and recoverability of databases and applications.
• Diagnose outages, authentication issues, and connection failures across databases, apps, middleware, servers, and networks.
• Coordinate with operations and software teams for root-cause analysis, fixes, and post-incident validation.
• Develop and execute upgrade/rollback plans with pre- and post-implementation validation.
• Support backup, replication, failover, high-availability, and disaster-recovery activities.
