Job summary

Computer World Services, Corp. (CWS) seeks a Journeyman Database and Application Support Engineer to ensure database availability, application operations, and recovery validation for the USMEPCOM ENLIST program.

The role diagnoses outages, certificate and API issues, and coordinates with IT operations and software teams for resolution, focusing on production support and testing rather than primary development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of six (6) years of relevant database support, application support, systems engineering, production operations, or enterprise IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support the availability, performance, health, and recoverability of enterprise databases and applications.
• Diagnose database outages, application dependencies, and API issues across database, application, middleware, server, network, cloud, and security components.
• Coordinate with operations and software teams for resolution, including logs, traces, and reproduction steps.
• Participate in Outage Response Team activities and support approved mitigation, recovery, and post-incident actions.
