Zusammenfassung

The California Franchise Tax Board is seeking a Database Administrator to act as a technical expert in database management and systems engineering, performing complex database administration, configuration, maintenance, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of DBMS and supporting infrastructure.

Responsibilities include applying upgrades, diagnosing issues, implementing backup/recovery, and ensuring security, integrity, and availability of enterprise databases.

Qualifikationen

• Experience administering and supporting Microsoft SQL Server databases in enterprise production environments.
• Experience managing SQL Server databases hosted in Windows-based environments with supporting infrastructure.
• Experience performing database performance analysis, optimization, troubleshooting, and tuning.
• Experience implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions including backups and restores.
• Experience developing scripts using PowerShell, Python, T-SQL or similar.
• Knowledge of DBMS lifecycle, deployments across development to production.
• Familiarity with IT service management, SDLC, and incident management.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and ability to document technical details.

• Installation, configuration, maintenance, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of DBMS and related infrastructure.
• Provide expert-level support for development, testing, and production database environments.
• Implement database upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system, application, and performance issues.
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery solutions.
• Lead or back up project work, coordinate workload and monitor metrics.
• Document lessons learned and provide status updates to management.
• Mentor staff on monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational procedures.
• Promote DBMS best practices and security across the organization.
