Job summary

Xsolla is seeking a database administrator to manage RDBMS and NoSQL solutions, optimize performance, and implement replication and high availability across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will support development teams, troubleshoot complex data issues, and drive automation with Terraform and Puppet to ensure scalable, reliable data services for our gaming platforms. Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field of study
• Expert-level experience with at least one of MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with other RDBMS or NoSQL solutions
• Strong knowledge of SQL (DDL, DML, DCL)
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms
• Proficiency in Linux
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher

Responsibilities

• Manage RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
• Ensure database performance, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery across environments deployed on bare-metal servers and virtual machines
• Implement and manage replication chains, partitioning/sharding, backups
• Assist development teams in creating, optimizing, and problem solving with RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
• Troubleshooting
• Drive automation using Terraform, Puppet, and custom tooling for infrastructure and database lifecycle management
