What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and administer SQL workloads hosted in Microsoft Azure, including Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance
- Monitor and secure cloud-based SQL resources, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to programmers and analysts in database analysis and optimization
- Develop and implement comprehensive backup strategies and disaster recovery plans
- Automate day-to-day database administration tasks through scripting and job scheduling

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT with a focus on SQL server administration, including 1 year managing SQL environments in Azure
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with project management experience
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) or equivalent Azure certification (e.g., Azure Database Administrator Associate)
