Base pay range

$39.00/hr - $56.00/hr

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join their team! This position is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Duties:

Manage physical databases on specific database technologies
Design and implement backup, recovery, archiving, and conversion strategies
Manage and maintain data definitions in all production and non-production databases and replication servers
Manage database distribution, security, and access requirements
Design and develop logical and physical layers of databases
Handle testing, reporting, backup, and restores
Provide technical assistance and mentoring to staff in developing conceptual and logical database designs and physical databases
Recommend, install, and maintain database software
Monitor performance, conduct database training, and assist application developers with tuning efforts

Desired Skills/Experience:

Experience in the setup and maintenance of one or more database systems in a client/server operating environment, including UDB, Oracle, Progress, SQL Server, or Access
Proficiency in creating tablespace areas, tables, and views, as well as in logical and physical database design
Knowledge of database monitoring and performance improvement techniques
Knowledge of database maintenance procedures
Familiarity with clustering and high-availability technology solutions
Knowledge of interfacing with client/server and Java programming languages, most commonly Visual Basic
Proficiency in the internals of large-scale client/server operating systems

The approximate pay range for this position is between $39.00 and $56.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
