Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to support a geospatial database environment, integrating ESRI ARCGIS and messaging applications into a centralized database configuration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience with Microsoft SQL and/or PostgreSQL in enterprise environments.
• Expert in administering GIS server equipment and geospatial data.
• Strong SQL tuning and XML knowledge; able to work with vendor support.
• Bachelor's degree plus three additional years of related experience is desirable.

Job Title: Senior Database AdministratorJob Category: Information TechnologyTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCIEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: Outside Continental US* * *The Opportunity:You will support a growing custom geospatial database environment by creating and managing database objects, constraints, dependencies, relationships, and both traditional and large object storage structures and interpret new requirements and identify solutions to meet those requirements.In addition, you will be supporting the design and integration of multiple ESRI, ARCGIS, and messaging applications into a common centralized database configuration.You must have expertise in SQL tuning and a basic understanding of XML technologies, as well as be able to demonstrate the capability to effectively utilize customer support from vendor companies.Responsibilities:You must have a strong understanding of geospatial database schema object management, data modeling and architecture.You will leverage your experience and knowledge to provide advice to the software development team and support the application support team throughout the staging and production cycle through the software development lifecycle (LDC), implement and troubleshoot triggers, views, stored procedures and data integrity constraints, and identify and troubleshoot database issues.You should possess the ability to analyze, design, build, test and implement solutions and have an expert understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL) and/or PostgreSQL.You should have excellent communication skills to include technical writing and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.You should have the ability and willingness to continue to expand your knowledge and experience base to be detail oriented and to prioritize and complete assigned tasks within required deadlines.You should have exceptional problem solving and decision-making capabilities, including troubleshooting technical issues, successfully resolving project issues and challenges, and developing creative solutions for process improvement and understanding user requirements.Qualifications:Required:TS/SCIShall perform advanced level planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise levelHave 8 years of progressive experience performing complex analysis, design, development, and modification to improve efficiency of Microsoft SQL and/or PostgreSQL databases in support of enterprise architectureShall be highly proficient in administering and deploying open source and commercial off the shelf (COTS) GIS server equipment in support of intelligence organizations.
