The Home Depot U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to lead the design, build, and operation of enterprise-scale data platforms and data products within the EDW.

The role focuses on scalability, performance, cost efficiency, and analytical accuracy across the EDW ecosystem. Responsibilities include delivering software end-to-end, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with product teams to ensure data solutions are robust and easy to test.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in backend data engineering or analytics platform engineering.
• Strong SQL expertise and Python knowledge with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery preferred).
• Experience designing enterprise-grade data models and semantic layers across multiple domains.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-scale data platforms; ensure value delivery.
• Mentor engineers and drive platform modernization while remaining hands-on.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure user stories are clear, testable, and ready for development.
• Optimize performance, cost efficiency, and scalability across the EDW ecosystem.
