Job summary

Plymouth Rock is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to manage, design, test, and implement Data Warehouse projects across Policy, Claims, Quotes, Billing, and Data Marts. You will lead requirements analysis, data modeling, and SDLC activities, guiding teams and ensuring production data quality.

The role requires 10+ years in data analysis and software development, strong SQL skills, and experience with Snowflake in AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years software development experience (ideally SQL).
• 10+ years of Data Analyst experience.
• Experience in relational databases.
• Experience in data mapping and transformation.
• Experience using a software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology, including project planning and estimating.
• Experience with database applications in the AWS Cloud.
• Experience with SQL - DB2, SQL Server, Oracle and Snowflake preferred.
• Effective oral & written communication skills - must have the ability to be heard.
• Strong data modeling skills.
• Significant testing skillset and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Internal management of projects throughout the project life cycle.
• Analysis and clarification of Business Requirements.
• Develop system specifications, including data transformations, using SDLC templates.
• Unit testing and involvement in integration, user and performance testing.
• Data Modeling.
• Directing/partnering with development.
• Mentoring Data Warehouse team members.
• Performance tuning.
• Prioritize with little assistance and take initiative.
• Learn new data sources quickly.
• Lead large projects when needed.
• Be an expert in data analyst tasks and seek improvements.
• Knowledge of P&C insurance data lifecycle and DW methodologies.
• Knowledge of Snowflake in AWS and ETL tools like Informatica.
