Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Senior Manager, Data Transformation to lead the development and operationalization of scalable, governed clinical and omics data products. You will own end-to-end data product lifecycle, including modeling, processing, quality, metadata, and lineage, for AI-ready assets.

This role blends deep technical data science with clinical/biological data understanding to enable cross-domain integration for translational research.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in bioinformatics, data engineering, or computer science.
• 5+ years in data pipelines in life sciences or analytics environments.
• Experience with clinical data formats (CDISC SDTM/ADaM, FHIR, OMOP).
• Experience with multi-omics workflows (proteomics, RNA-seq, metabolomics, single-cell).
• Proficiency with Nextflow, AWS, and scripting in Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, TileDB, and scientific data formats.
• Neuroscience experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data models for AI-extracted neuroscience clinical data from diverse sources.
• Design and optimize Nextflow/Tower pipelines integrating AWS S3, Snowflake, and TileDB for large-scale omics data processing.
• Establish reusable modules that standardize outputs into harmonized formats for data science and AI applications.
• Collaborate with Solution Architect, Vector Data Engineer, and Governance Team to embed FAIR principles and compliance.
• Lead pipeline optimization, code reviews, and development best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive workflow standardization across studies.
