Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Software Engineer, Data Systems in Santa Clara, CA to build the store, data model, and query path for engineering performance data at GPU-scale. You will ingest, join, store, and deliver data with low latency and shape it for automated analysis and engineers.

You will collaborate across hosts, schedulers, configurations, logs, and storage to enable cross-job comparisons, while defining data contracts and ensuring stable behavior during high demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience with large-scale production data and low-latency streaming pipelines.
• Good judgment on event identity, ordering, and data transformations.
• Concrete performance investigation with baseline, measurements, and trade-offs.
• Experience defining and versioning a data contract with producers.

Responsibilities

• Develop store, data model, and query path for engineering performance data at GPU-scale with low latency.
• Join profiling data with hosts, schedulers, configs, logs, and storage for cross-job comparisons.
• Define data contracts and version them, guiding consumers through changes.
• Trade off data quality, latency, storage cost, and retention; verify improvements via measurements.
• Handle delayed, duplicated, or incomplete data; communicate limitations to users.
• Develop data API and generated views; implement access controls and reliability under high demand.
