Job summary

Atlas HXM is seeking a Senior Engineer who will own, design, and build the underlying data systems and pipelines powering our production services and application backend. You will focus on clean code, system performance, cost efficiency, automated testing, and developer experience.

You will design data pipelines, analytical models, and storage specs with product and backend teams, using SQL, Python, and TypeScript.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data processing pipelines using modern software engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product and backend engineers to design operational database schemas, analytical models, and storage specs.
• Write clean, modular, and well-tested code (SQL, Python, TypeScript).
• Audit slow queries, optimize storage formats, tune indexes, and manage costs.
• Enforce CI/CD and version control across all data systems.
• Set up automated data testing, alerting, and monitoring to catch data quality regressions before production impact.
