Job summary

Thomson Reuters Corp. is seeking a Senior Data Steward, Master Data to manage customer data as a strategic asset.

You will ensure data is loaded and maintained on the MDM platform, monitor requests, and collaborate with business and technical teams to uphold data governance standards. You will build expertise across data domains, drive data quality initiatives, and support process improvements while maintaining sensitive information with professional discretion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required with 5+ years in a master data/applications role or analytics.
  • Experience in data management & manipulation and translating business requirements to technical specs.
  • Strong documentation skills (BRDs, SOPs) and data governance familiarity.
  • Experience coordinating with virtual teams across locations and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage data quality, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of SQL/SAP/HANA/Alteryx/BO/Salesforce a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer data content on the MDM platform via the data model.
  • Monitor, validate, and execute data creation/change requests in data hub.
  • Develop expertise on one or more data domains (customer/contact).
  • Control risks and proactively monitor data quality.

This position is responsible for gathering information requirements, entering, maintaining, and monitoring core data to ensure alignment with company data governance policies and data quality standards.In this role, the Senior Data Steward ensures that all master data is accurately loaded and maintained, working closely with business and technical subject matter experts to provide meaningful input to project teams and ensure master data is properly captured and utilized. The steward also supports the broader Master Data Management team in developing procedures for detecting and resolving data quality issues as defined by the Data Governance team.A significant part of this role involves the ongoing, in-depth evaluation of data quality, identifying anomalies and discrepancies, and applying subject matter expertise to determine root causes and implement effective corrective actions. The base compensation range varies across locations.For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $82,000 USD - $152,200 USD.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
