Truist is seeking a data governance specialist in Charlotte, NC to define and validate business-critical processes and CDEs, ensuring data controls support core business workflows. You will lead metadata management, data quality, and privacy considerations across units, collaborating with COE and stewards to implement enterprise standards.

You will collaborate with domain teams to sustain data integrity, monitor data quality, and participate in governance forums to advance enterprise-wide data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and eight years of related experience or equivalent education and training.
• Deep specialized and/or broad knowledge of data stewardship/management principles, practices and methodologies.
• Prior experience leading IT projects of significant complexity and risk exposure.

Responsabilités

• Define and validate business-critical processes and associated CDEs to support core workflows.
• Onboard new CDEs and propose data domains for approval, collaborating with COE and Data Domain Working Group.
• Review CDEs and metadata on a recurring basis with Metadata COE and Technical Data Stewards.
• Discover and execute CDE change requests in collaboration with COE and Technical Data Stewards.
• Submit CDE change requests for Data Domain Working Group approval and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Perform business process and traceability mapping with business unit representatives and COE.
• Review trusted source assignments with Technical Data Stewards.
• Define Data Quality rules and standards and ensure alignment with enterprise policies.
