Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks a Senior/Principal Data Solutions Analyst to serve as a data steward for financial data within the Corporate Finance Data Strategy and Governance Team. You will partner with business, IT, and finance to standardize source data and define data passed to downstream systems and reporting.

You will prototype data solutions, mentor juniors, and drive cross-functional collaboration while applying Agile methods.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• Master's in same or related disciplines strongly preferred.
• Senior: 3-5 years experience in coding for data management, data warehousing, or other data environments.
• Principal: 5-7 years experience in coding for data management, data warehousing, or other data environments.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and develop data solutions to meet organizational and business customer needs.
• Demonstrate understanding of complex multi-tier, multi-platform systems and apply metadata, lineage, data dependencies and hierarchy, business definitions, compliance, and data security to projects.
• Design proof-of-concept solutions using financial insurance concepts and multiple coding languages; perform iterative testing.
• Mentor junior associates and provide technical guidance.
• Manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and timely delivery.
• Design and develop data solutions enabling self-service data consumption and communicate their value to customers.
• Define metrics impactful to the business and align work with Agile practices.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration between business and technology teams.
• Stay current on new technologies and apply them to advance initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to apply Gen AI for data discovery, lineage summarization, and automated documentation.
