Intec Select Limited, a leading prop trading partner, seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Data) to join our tech team in NYC, Chicago or London on a hybrid basis. You will collaborate with traders and quants to design and build high-performance data platforms supporting options, delta-one and FICC strategies.

The role emphasizes real-time and historical data processing, scalable batch and streaming pipelines, and low-latency APIs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' commercial Software Engineering experience in finance or trading environments.
• Experience designing high-performance data platforms for real-time and historical data.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java or C++.
• Familiarity with streaming/batch processing and data orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance software systems supporting real-time and historical trading data.
• Take full ownership of data products from design to deployment and support.
• Build scalable batch processing and real-time streaming solutions for large-volume time-series datasets.
• Develop APIs and data access solutions for fast, reliable data retrieval.
• Collaborate with traders, researchers and engineers to deliver data solutions.
• Design and maintain concurrent, high-throughput, low-latency systems in Linux.
• Ensure data quality, reliability and performance across trading infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and provide production support when needed.
• 2+ years' commercial experience in proprietary trading or financial markets.
