Job Opportunity: Senior Data Software Engineer (Remote)

The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection & Insurance Co. is seeking a Senior Data Software Engineer for a remote position. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in roles such as Database Administrator, Data Analyst, Software Engineer, or similar.

Required experience includes:

1. At least 2 years working with PostgreSQL databases, including design, performance optimization, replication, high availability, backup & recovery, and advanced features like extensions and PL/pgSQL.
2. Performing advanced analytics on terabytes of near real-time IoT time series data in PostgreSQL.
3. Optimizing query performance using indexing strategies.
4. Ensuring data integrity and identifying errors in large-scale IoT data.
5. Consolidating data from multiple sources into a central data warehouse for reporting and analysis.
