Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Trust and Safety Data Science team. You will build and deploy ML models to detect anomalous activity, analyze feature performance and pricing, and collaborate with security engineers, trust and safety experts, and ML engineers to protect customers and the platform.

You will mentor junior data scientists, define OKRs, and communicate progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data science, ML, and analytics experience in high-velocity environments.
• Experience deploying Data Science/ML solutions in production to drive results.
• Understanding of software engineering practices around testing, code reviews, and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ML models to detect anomalous activity in products.
• Analyze performance and pricing of security-related features; work with product/engineering teams to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with security engineers, trust and safety experts, and ML engineers to build robust systems and tools to protect Databricks and customers.
• Gather requirements, define project OKRs and milestones, and communicate progress to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Guide junior data scientists and interns, contributing to planning, technical decisions, and code/document reviews.
