Job summary

Motion is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to turn raw industrial telemetry into customer-facing insights, alerts, and predictions. You will define data requirements, build models, and partner with engineering to expose data for analysis and dashboards.

You will lead time-series modeling, design robust data schemas, deploy ML solutions in production, and translate complex results into actionable features for product teams and clients, shaping the analytics backbone of the platform.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of data science experience with predictive modeling.
• Deep time-series expertise including forecasting and anomaly detection.
• Advanced SQL skills across Big Data platforms (Snowflake/BigQuery/Athena).

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models for equipment failure, energy spikes, and bottlenecks.
• Define data schemas and materialized views for UI consumption.
• Collaborate with product, UI, and backend teams to deploy insights and dashboards.
