Job summary

Nike, Inc. in Beaverton, Oregon is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Data Science & Advanced Analytics team within SCPT. You will build and deploy optimization and analytical models that power Nike’s global supply chain, from finished goods to materials sourcing and manufacturing.

You will work in a cross-functional Agile squad, design productionizing models in Python, apply forecasting and simulation, and communicate insights to stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications

• Advanced quantitative degree and 5+ years in data science or 7-12 years with a Bachelor’s.
• Strong knowledge of data science and optimization, with AI/ML and linear/nonlinear methods.
• Experience building optimization models in Python with solvers (Gurobi/CPLEX).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data work and monitoring.
• Familiar with data science tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Databricks).
• Experience deploying models at enterprise scale and lifecycle management.
• Deep knowledge of supply chain, manufacturing, sourcing, logistics.
• Cross-functional collaboration with a consulting mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and productionize optimization and analytical models for supply chain decisions.
• Apply statistical modeling and simulation to complement optimization solutions.
• Conduct performance, scenario, and sensitivity analyses for decision making.
• Build end-to-end analytical pipelines: data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment.
• Collaborate with global partners to assess requirements and data constraints.
• Contribute to planning, scheduling and value measurement of the work.
• Explore drivers of cost and on-time performance; pursue sustainability goals.
• Shape analytical platforms and reusable data science components.
• Support adoption of analytic products through storytelling with partners.
• Share knowledge and contribute to model governance and reproducibility.
