Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Data Scientist - Level 4 to shape and implement the BU’s data-driven strategies, partnering with ELT, program leadership, and functional leads to enable production readiness and continuous improvement across multiple CA sites.

The role develops analytics, leads strategic initiatives, and ensures quality through advanced principles while guiding data-driven decision-making and culture. Travel up to 15% to Oxnard/Goleta/Commerce/San Diego.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field with 8 years of data mining experience or Master’s degree with 6 years of experience.
• Proficiency with SQL and Tableau (or similar BI tools).
• Experience ingesting, processing, storing, analyzing and visualizing data from multiple complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of data visualization tools and dashboards; data entry solutions and automated analytics.
• Structure and facilitate performance review meetings on metrics for leadership.
• Coach stakeholders on data literacy and data flows across systems (ERP, MES, planning).
• Lead data quality and cleanup for new or enhanced systems.
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executives and frontline leaders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven strategies and continuous improvement.
