Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Mission Enabling Products (MEP) Business Unit is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to shape and implement the BU's operational strategy and program execution initiatives. This role may be located at Oxnard, Goleta, Commerce, or San Diego, with 15% travel to the sites.

The Data Scientist - Level 4 will develop advanced analytics, lead strategic initiatives, and institutionalize a data-driven decision-making culture to drive high performance while ensuring quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field and 8 years of data mining experience, or Master's with 6 years of experience.
• Proficient with SQL and Tableau (or similar BI tools).
• Experience ingesting, processing, storing, analyzing, and visualizing data from multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Own data visualization dashboards, data entry solutions, and analytics tools lifecycle.
• Lead performance reviews for metrics tied to strategy and execution for leadership teams.
• Coach stakeholders on data literacy and data flow across ERP, MES, and planning tools.
• Lead data quality and cleanup for new or enhanced systems.
• Translate data insights into actionable guidance for executives and front-line leaders.
• Collaborate across functions to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
