Job summary

Infotrend is seeking a Senior Data Scientist/Analyst to extract, manage, validate, and analyze large datasets from federal government systems in a highly secure environment. You will develop and maintain SQL queries, ETL/ELT workflows, and create structured data sets for reporting, research, and AI/ML modeling.

You will collaborate with government stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable, data-driven solutions, using Python/R, SQL, and Databricks with BI integrations like Tableau.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Python and/or R, SQL, and Databricks or equivalent platforms.
• Ability to design and implement ETL/ELT workflows.
• Experience with reporting, AI/ML modeling, and data visualization.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work with large federal government datasets to develop, enhance reports, analyses and models.
• Extract data from IT systems using SQL and other programming languages.
• Manage, review, validate, and secure data ingestion into a highly secure government environment.
• Create clean, structured data sets for use in reports, analyses, studies and both AI/ML and non-AI/ML models.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows for structured and unstructured data.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, formulate hypotheses, test them and present results clearly.
• Use advanced statistical techniques to identify trends, anomalies and insights.
• Create visualizations and tools for interactive data exploration.
