Job summary

Binance.US is seeking a Senior Data Scientist - Risk to join the Data & Analytics team. You will develop advanced risk models to combat financial crimes and safeguard user funds, collaborating with Risk, Compliance, Marketing, and Product to drive data-driven insights.

Responsibilities include building ML-based fraud models, analyzing experiments, and creating risk signals. You will lead technically and contribute to a strong data culture within a fast-growing fintech.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Data Science/Analytics and 3+ years in Financial Risk.
• Proficient with SQL and expertise with R or Python.
• Experience in building ML-based fraud and risk models.
• Experience in designing and developing data visualizations and dashboards.
• Excellent understanding of risk analytics and fraud models.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for a non-technical audience.

Responsibilities

• Build ML-based fraud and risk models to reduce risk-related loss and increase pass rate.
• Develop a rigorous data-driven culture within Risk & Compliance teams.
• Design and analyze A/B experiments to evaluate impact of changes and risk models.
• Create risk signals to detect fraud, monitor transactions, and identify malicious trading activity.
• Define, measure, and improve monitoring metrics for Risk & Compliance.
• Provide technical leadership to Risk & Compliance teams.
