Job summary

Binance.US is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will help ensure reliability, scalability, and observability of our systems, working with development and operations to design monitoring and instrumentation, and to maintain uptime across our services.

You will implement IaC with Terraform, champion observability best practices, and collaborate across teams to standardize tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). This remote U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps experience or related fields.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Bash; strong scripting ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining observability strategies for logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to instrument services consistently.
• Support adoption of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, and OpenTelemetry.
• Monitor production systems and diagnose performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in production support, including incident response and on-call rotation with PagerDuty.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Contribute to automation to reduce manual operational work.
• Support post-incident reviews and drive continuous improvement.

About This Role:

The Site Reliability Engineer is part of the Engineering team and reports to our DevOps Lead. In this role, you will support the reliability, scalability, and observability of our systems. You will assist in designing and maintaining monitoring solutions, working with development and operations teams to ensure optimal system performance and uptime.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and maintaining observability strategies for logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent instrumentation across services.
• Support adoption of observability best practices and tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Help monitor production systems and diagnose performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in production support, including incident response and on-call rotation using PagerDuty.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Contribute to automation and tooling to reduce manual operational work.
• Support post-incident reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Go, Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK Stack, OpenTelemetry).
• Hands-on experience with AWS and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Strong Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Salary:

The starting pay for this role is USD $125,000 - $145,000 per year for all U.S. remote locations. The actual base pay will vary, and is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skill sets, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change.
