Job summary

Imprint is seeking a senior Data Scientist, Risk, to own the end-to-end risk modeling pipeline across acquisition channels. You will build and optimize credit scoring, policy rules, and segmentation to improve approval rates while managing risk.

Collaborate with Strategy, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to deploy AI-powered monitoring and actionable insights. You will drive experiments, connect model outputs to CAC/LTV economics, and communicate complex results to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of data science/risk analytics in a high-growth fintech or startup.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for modeling and data transformation.
• Experience building credit risk/targeting models, scorecards, or similar predictive models.
• Deep understanding of statistical inference, experimentation design, and causal analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve top-of-funnel credit decisioning: scoring, rules, and approval-rate optimization.
• Develop underwriting, targeting, and segmentation models to expand safe approvals.
• Design and analyze A/B tests and experiments on credit policies.
• Build channel-level models linking application volume to downstream economics.
