Qualifications

• Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or conducting statistical analysis, or 3 years of work experience with a PhD degree.
• 2 years of experience in a data science role within a technology company.

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research or related technical field.
• 8 years of work experience with analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or conducting statistical analysis, or 6 years with a PhD.
• Experience influencing product strategy and innovation through data science.
• Experience in controlled experiment design and causal inference methods.

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are role, level, and location-dependent. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders across projects to identify and clarify business or product questions. Provide feedback to translate questions into analysis, metrics, or models.
• Develop advanced analysis, forecasting, experimentation, machine learning, and optimization methods to identify growth opportunities (e.g., forecasting at scale, user segmentation, causal inference, churn prediction).
• Gather information on business goals, data infrastructure, and organizational context. Initiate and drive projects to completion independently.
• Manage data extraction and compilation from various sources using tools like SQL, R, Python. Ensure data quality and readiness for analysis.
