Job summary

Gradient AI Corp. is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead our most complex modelling and analytical initiatives. You will set strategy across the organization and raise the technical standard for building and shipping models.

You will apply hybrid modelling techniques, leveraging deep learning and traditional data science methods, to deliver measurable value quickly. This remote role offers Boston-area hybrid options, equity, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Data Science/Math or related field with 8+ years of experience.
• OR Master’s or Ph.D in related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of deep learning and ML algorithms and the core Python data science ecosystem.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with nontechnical stakeholders and leadership.
• Experience with NLP, medical data, long-tail predictions, or related problem spaces.
• Experience with the full MLOps lifecycle, creating standards and enforcing quality.
• Accountability for long-term model impact, monitoring drift, KPI, and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead modelling strategy across the organization and set technical standards.
• Prototype, prove, deploy, and realize value quickly in market.
• Work with big data, federated learning, unstructured data, and time-series modelling.
• Tell stories with data to inspire trust with stakeholders and drive impact.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to scale models.
