Job summary

MedCore Healthcare is seeking a senior Data Scientist in Texas to own end-to-end data platforms and enable scalable analytics. You will work with Hadoop, BigQuery, and dbt to transform complex requirements into robust pipelines.

You will defend recommendations, mentor teammates, and coordinate with cross-functional partners on remote projects. Flexibility includes remote options and occasional on-site work in Lubbock, TX.

Qualifications

• Senior-level data science experience with leadership capabilities.
• Proven ability to defend recommendations before stakeholders.
• Strong time-management and bias toward action.

Responsibilities

• Trace a technology number back through Hadoop services until it finally adds up.
• Own the full lifecycle of technology systems from prototype to production.
• Turn vague technology tickets into crisp, testable BigQuery acceptance criteria.
• Wire Teamwork APIs to Hadoop consumers so data lands where Lubbock teams expect it.
• Document technical decisions, architecture, and APIs for the broader org.
• Sketch the dbt architecture, defend it in review, then build the thing.
• Question the metrics-driven dbt pattern everyone copied and propose something cleaner.
• Pair with cross-functional partners to scope and deliver remote projects.
