Confluent is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help define the product roadmap and drive revenue growth. You will collaborate with our Product team and cross-functional partners to use data to identify challenges and unlock growth across our suite of products.

This role requires a strong blend of technical skills, strategic thinking and leadership to influence product decisions and investment priorities across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science/Analytics.
• Strong proficiency in data manipulation with SQL and scripting languages (Python).
• Experience with A/B testing and experiment design.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and influence across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Own prioritization for your domain and collaborate with product managers, engineers, marketing leads, and stakeholders to define the data science roadmap.
• Define and measure success metrics for new features and initiatives.
• Utilize data to uncover trends, identify opportunities for growth, and shape product roadmaps.
• Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and presentation of data for product impact.
• Share actionable insights and recommendations with leadership at various levels to inform strategy.
• Collaborate with other data scientists to share best practices and uplift the team.
• Peer review teammates' work and upskill junior members.
