Job summary

Realtor.com is seeking a Sr Data Scientist for RDC Next in Austin to own analytics across the Realtor.com Plus platform. You will drive experimentation, reporting, and insights that shape product strategy and market launches.

Expect collaboration with Product, Engineering, Finance, and MLS teams to scale analytics, improve data quality, and empower self-service reporting. You will mentor analysts, partner with Data/ML Engineering, and build AI-enabled analytics using state-of-the-art tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Analytics professional, with a strong track record of delivering impact.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and in Python or R, with related data analysis libraries (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake) and BI/product analytics tooling (Tableau, Looker, Amplitude).
• Expertise in data visualization and storytelling to communicate complex findings.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
• Demonstrated hands-on use of AI tools in day-to-day analytical work and curiosity to learn new capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and marketing to identify questions where data science adds the most value.
• Own analytics end-to-end for consumer product initiatives; define success metrics and measurement plans.
• Apply advanced statistical and ML techniques to surface drivers of engagement, retention, and conversion.
• Design and analyze experiments (A/B and quasi-experimental) and measure impact.
• Build and maintain datasets, metrics, pipelines, and dashboards for self-serve analytics.
