Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Sr Programmer-Sr Data Scientist/Analyst in Real-World Data to advance analyses using SAS and R. You will work with real-world data sources and cohort creation, applying epidemiologic methods and survival analyses to support drug development programs.

The role requires an advanced degree in Biostatistics or Epidemiology, strong communication skills, and experience in a clinical setting. A remote work arrangement from NC is supported where applicable.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a scientific or statistical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Extensive programming experience in SAS or R, preferably in a clinical trial environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Program in SAS or R for real-world data analyses and cohorts.
• Work with commercial claims and EHR databases such as Optum, MarketScan, IQVIA PharMetrics, or HealthVerity.
• Create study cohorts and derive baseline and outcome variables.
• Apply epidemiologic study designs and statistical methods including regression and survival analyses.
• Collaborate with study teams and review SAPs and protocols; perform analyses (programming of TFLs).
