Job summary

Walmart Inc. invites a Senior Data Scientist to join the Media Insights team in Hoboken, NJ. You will build and deploy advanced statistical and ML models, source and validate cross-domain data, and create impactful visualizations for executive decisions.

You will mentor teammates, drive scalable analytics, and translate business problems into data-driven solutions while applying AI and LLM techniques to improve advertising insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years’ analytics experience.
• Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, CS, IT, or related field and 1 year analytics experience.
• 5 or more years in analytics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Identify and source data from multiple business domains to support analytics initiatives.
• Conduct data quality assessments to ensure modeling readiness.
• Develop, test, and validate advanced statistical and ML models to solve business problems.
• Deploy scalable analytical models into production with performance and sustainability in mind.
• Create clear data visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Translate business requirements into technical analytics solutions aligned with goals.
• Mentor junior team members on modeling techniques.
