Job summary

Kearney Activate is seeking a Senior Data Scientist / Product Engineer in the Washington, DC area to deliver secure, cloud-hosted data and analytics solutions for mobility, defense, and advanced industrial clients. You will translate business questions into analytical plans, build models, deploy via APIs, and monitor performance while mentoring junior teammates.

• Experience owning end-to-end data science solutions and taking them into production.

Responsibilities

• Translate ambiguous business questions into an analytical approach and select techniques.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to understand data quality and opportunity.
• Design, build, and evaluate analytical and ML solutions including LLM-based approaches.
• Deploy models via APIs or batch pipelines with basic monitoring for performance and drift.
• Collaborate with data architecture on pipelines, data quality, and schema decisions.
• Apply MLOps fundamentals and CI/CD discipline to models and analytical code.
• Document assumptions and communicate results to technical and business audiences.
• Lead solution definition with client stakeholders and mentor junior staff.
• Utilize modern AI and GenAI tools in daily workflows.
