Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead predictive monitoring, equipment diagnostics, and advanced analytics across power generation assets. You will deliver scalable analytical solutions for operational use and partner with reliability engineers, SMEs, operations teams, and software developers.

The ideal candidate has strong data science, software deployment, and distributed computing experience, with 6+ years in power, and a track record of production-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 6+ years of data-science or analytics experience in power generation or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of diagnostic algorithms and predictive models.
• Implement production-ready analytical solutions and documentation.
• Deploy, monitor, tune, and troubleshoot analytics in production.
• Collaborate with reliability engineers, SMEs, and software developers to deliver practical solutions.
• Communicate results and business impact to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
