Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Senior Data Scientist to advance player value modeling and inform high‑stakes commercial decisions at scale. You will work with Finance, Strategy and Platform, own the problem definition and delivery, and shape strategies with data-driven insights.

You will apply causal inference, forecasting and machine learning, mentor teammates, and communicate results to leadership. The role emphasizes collaboration and impact across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven industry experience delivering analytical and modelling solutions for customer value, incrementality, forecasting, or investment decisioning.
• Experience with optimisation or operations research approaches or strong quantitative foundation to pick them up quickly.
• Strong grounding in causal inference and impact measurement with careful assessment of assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver advanced modelling approaches quantifying player value, incremental impact, and long-term platform value.
• Measure incremental effects of launches, investments, and market events and translate into actionable insights.
• Build optimization and scenario models for long-range planning under real-world constraints.
• Own ambiguous problems and break them into tractable, measurable solutions.
• Partner with Finance, Strategy and Platform to ensure value-driven products are robust and adopted.
• Evaluate modelling approaches balancing rigor, performance, scalability, interpretability, and impact.
• Mentor other data scientists and share best practices.
• Communicate complex modelling outcomes clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
