Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Data Scientist to join an elite Applied AI team at AI Foundations, working on large-scale ML models and personalized recommendations across Capital One's web and mobile applications.

You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver data-driven products, building models from design through training, evaluation and deployment using Python, AWS, Spark, and more in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field plus 5 years of data analytics experience
• Master's Degree in a quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration plus 3 years of data analytics
• PhD in a quantitative field ( Statistics, Economics, OR, Analytics, Math, CS )

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional team to deliver a product customers love
• Leverage Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to reveal insights from large numeric and textual data
• Build ML models from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation
• Translate complex work into tangible business goals
