Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a Data Scientist to lead causal inference research within the People Analytics & Research team. You will apply rigorous quasi-experimental methods to workforce questions, partnering across Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Legal, and Diversity & Belonging.

The role emphasizes translating data into actionable insights, designing experiments, and presenting findings to cross-functional partners. Remote-eligible in the US with eligibility to office attendance as arranged.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industry experience with a quantitative focus.
• Deep experience with causal inference on observational data and quasi-experimental design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners to understand people-related problems and gather relevant data.
• Apply statistical models and data science methods to recruit, pay, retention, and performance questions.
• Translate data and insights into visualizations and narratives for leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead compensation analytics and governance reporting in partnership with Legal and Total Rewards.
• Design and measure quality-of-hire metrics with Recruiting and manage sensitive reporting.
