MarginEdge in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to research, develop, and deploy innovative machine learning and statistical models that address our most challenging problems across product, engineering, and operations.

You will embed with the teams you serve and own end-to-end work from ideation through deployment in our AWS infrastructure, influencing decisions and driving impact with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Using Python and its data manipulation libraries to develop solutions across a breadth of problem spaces.
• Designing, implementing, and deploying ML models in a customer-facing application.
• Experimenting with LLMs and agentic workflows and comparing them to traditional ML methods.
• Communicating statistical methods to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and stakeholders to identify data science opportunities.
• Research, develop, and deploy machine learning models to solve complex business problems.
• Design scalable data science pipelines transforming raw data into actionable insights.
• Evaluate and optimize models to improve accuracy and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering to deploy production-ready solutions in AWS.
• Stay informed about advances in ML and AI technologies.
• Report KPIs and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide mentorship to other data scientists via code reviews and knowledge sharing.
