Job summary

Bow Wave LLC seeks a senior data science professional to support FBI missions by delivering integrated analytics, machine learning, and scalable ETL pipelines. You will secure cloud environments and advance data capabilities across enterprise platforms for real-time analysis in 24/7 operations.

The role requires 8+ years with a BS or 4+ years with an MS, and a strong Python proficiency. You will collaborate with investigators and analysts to translate complex data needs into actionable insights

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience with BS in data-related field, or 4+ years with MS.
• High proficiency in Python.

Responsibilities

• Plans and leads major technology assignments.
• Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
• Collaborates with nontechnical, national security investigators and analysts to understand their data science needs, suggest solutions, and complete the work in a timely manner.
• Leads and/or designs ML, statistical analysis, and data analysis tasks.
• Leverages existing and/or conducts custom ETL work to aggregate data from multiple repositories and condition the data to provide novel insights.
• Interprets data, identify features and model variables, assess the quality of model outputs, generate alternatives, and conduct remediation.
• Finds and designs new approaches to handling, analyzing, and using large volumes of data and data sets, and explore fundamental issues with data handling, search, and retention.
• Designs new software code to improve data search processes, and design, test, and validate the quality of data and data processes.
• Automates routine workflows and data analysis steps to assist with workflow automation.
• Reports results of analyses and provide actionable recommendations.
