Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics and AI/ML solutions for mission-critical applications. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex challenges and deliver production-ready algorithms and platforms.

Experience with Python, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, LLM frameworks, and geospatial analytics is preferred, along with familiarity with DevSecOps and observability in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent in a quantitative/analytical field.
• 12+ years in data science, analytics, or quantitative intelligence analysis with 10+ years at Master’s level.
• Active Top Secret clearance and eligibility for TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one other scripting language.
• Experience collaborating with hybrid teams to research, build, and deploy analytics platforms.
• Track record of creative problem solving and mission-focused outcomes.
• Familiarity with version control (git, svn) and deployment tech (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics and AI/ML solutions for mission-critical apps.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and developers to deliver production-ready algorithms.
• Apply cutting-edge statistical, predictive, graph analytics, and NLP techniques across diverse data types.
• Contribute to integration of AI, DevSecOps, data/ platform engineering, cybersecurity, observability.
