Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to develop next-generation product concepts in medical diagnostics. The role involves feasibility, design, and algorithm development including image processing and ML techniques from ideation through development.

Collaboration with scientists, engineers, marketing, and QA will be essential to prototype, integrate, and test new technology for hospital and laboratory diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required — Data Science, Applied Mathematics/Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering
• 5 years of professional related experience with Machine Learning, Statistics, Image Analysis, Signal/Time Series Analysis and Programming experience with Python or R, Code - samples to be provided upon request
• Masters or PhD preferred
• Work Experience in ISO or FDA regulated environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global engineering and scientific disciplines, departments, and third-party partners
• Mentor others in the department on technology, methods and programming language utilization
• Build relationships with external development partners and prospective technology partners; co-develop and drive projects with these partners
• Represent Data Science on project teams and provide inputs to Project Management on a project-by-project basis
• Design experimental methods and plans to generate results that drive critical product design selections
