Senior Data Scientist, Growth and Acquisition

The Role

The Data Science team at Cash App derives valuable insights from our unique datasets and turns those insights into actions that improve the customer experience daily. As a Data Scientist on our Marketing team, you will play a critical role in accelerating Cash App’s growth by enhancing our user acquisition strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, marketing, and product management to explore new opportunities and help position Cash App as the top provider of primary banking services.

You Will

• Build models to optimize user acquisition efforts for maximum ROI
• Design and analyze A/B experiments to evaluate marketing campaigns
• Support audience sizing and campaign results tracking
• Analyze large datasets using SQL and scripting languages to surface insights
• Partner with the Marketing organization to influence roadmaps and success metrics
• Apply statistical and mathematical modeling to understand customer behavior and segments
• Build, forecast, and report on key metrics for strategic decision making
• Develop code for data processing and create curated ETL datasets
• Create data visualizations and dashboards for stakeholders
• Communicate findings effectively with team leads and stakeholders

We're Targeting

• Experience level equivalent to BSc +7-10 years, MSc +5-8 years, or PhD +3-5 years
• Background in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related fields
• Expertise in acquisition marketing analytics, funnel metrics, attribution, and customer lifetime value
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Spark, and causal inference methods
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences
