Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Full Stack Data Scientist / ML Engineer to join our Knowledge Layer team. You will own end-to-end ML work—from model selection to productionizing APIs—focusing on knowledge extraction, graph-based ML, and entity resolution.

You will collaborate with backend and graph engineers to embed models into services, drive EDA-informed decisions, and help shape our knowledge graphs and ontologies. This role emphasizes practical ML in production across unstructured data and graphs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning engineering, or applied ML.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Hands-on experience building, training, or deploying ML models in production.
• Familiarity with NLP or information extraction techniques (NER, text classification, embeddings).
• Experience or strong interest in knowledge graphs, graph data, or graph-based ML.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including building and maintaining APIs or services.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problem spaces into practical ML solutions.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration across disciplines

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and productionize ML models focused on knowledge extraction from unstructured data (NER, entity linking).
• Explore graph-based learning and inference to support TRM’s products.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to inform modeling decisions and system design.
• Evaluate and leverage existing ML models and frameworks for real-world problems.
• Partner with backend and graph engineers to integrate ML into production services and APIs.
• Own ML components end-to-end from experimentation to deployment.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of knowledge graphs and ontologies.
• Mentor and shape applied ML best practices within the Knowledge Layer team
