Job summary

TRM Labs seeks a Full Stack Data Scientist / ML Engineer to join the Knowledge Layer team. You will extract, structure, and analyze knowledge from large-scale unstructured data, interfacing with graph engineers and backend services.

You will own ML components end-to-end, from experimentation to deployment, and contribute to knowledge graphs and ontologies powering TRM’s core intelligence products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data science, machine learning engineering, or applied ML.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Hands-on experience deploying ML models in production.
• Familiarity with NLP or information extraction techniques (NER, text classification, embeddings).
• Interest or experience with knowledge graphs and graph-based ML.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including APIs or services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and productionize ML models focused on knowledge extraction and graph-based learning.
• Evaluate existing ML models and frameworks for real-world applicability.
• Collaborate with backend and graph engineers to deploy models as services and APIs.
• Contribute to knowledge graphs and ontologies used by core products.
• Conduct EDA to inform modeling and system design.
• Own ML components end-to-end from experimentation to deployment.
• Help establish best practices for applied ML within the Knowledge Layer team.
