ComEd in Oak Brook Terrace, IL is seeking a Data Scientist to apply the scientific method to extract knowledge from large time-series, structured, and unstructured data. You will collaborate with data engineers, IT partners, and business stakeholders to turn data into actionable insights and inform decisions.

You will build predictive models for customer experience, reliability, and operational performance, using Python, SQL, and Spark.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 4-7 years of experience applying machine learning to large datasets.
• Strong knowledge in ML, AI, statistical modeling, data mining, or data visualization.
• Proficiency in Python, R, Scala, SQL; Unix-based OS experience.
• Excellent communication to translate analyses to business partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models to improve customer experience and operations.
• Analyze data using ML and analytics frameworks (Python, SQL, Spark, Hadoop).
• Access and analyze data from various company systems; support strategic plans.
• Enrich data warehouses; build and maintain HPC systems.
